Cooke College Scholarship up to $40,000/yr High-achieving senior with financial need who attends a highly ranked 4-year college or university; demonstrated perseverance in the face of challenges; demonstrated leadership; and proven service to others; must apply through the Common App; click here to begin application process November 13, 2019
Iowa Women in Natural Resources Scholarship $500 Senior enrolling in an Iowa university or community college and pursuing a career in a natural resources field; working on or planning to work on a conservation project; written project description and personal essay; pick up application info in the folder on the wall across from Mrs. Bode-Steinke's office door. Completed application and materials must be postmarked by November 15, 2019
Iowa State University Freshman Scholarships (100s awarded) up to full tuition Must apply to and be admitted by December 1, 2019, for top scholarships; other factors vary, but can include GPA, test scores, leadership, and community service; CLICK here for more info and to apply for admission December 1, 2019

Iowa State Beta Sigma Psi Lutheran Fraternity Darryl Jahn Memorial Scholarship $2,000 (3 awarded) Male student attending Iowa State, but do NOT have to join Beta Sigma Psi; involvement in church activities, academic achievement, involvement and recognition for extracurricular activities, personal interview; CLICK here to access scholarship January 11, 2020
America's Farmers Grow Ag Scholarship $1,500 Senior planning to pursue a degree or certification in specific areas of agriculture, minimum GPA of 2.5 on 4.0 scale, two endorsements from local farmers, do NOT have to be an FFA member to apply; CLICK here for apply and application January 15, 2020

Council Bluffs Centennial Rotary Scholarship $1,000 (2 offered) Must be actively involved in the betterment of our community through volunteer work and community service. National Guard Officers Auxiliary Scholarships $1,000 (total of 3 awarded) Must be a dependent of an Iowa National Guard Member (current or retired) who is pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree; you will be judged on an essay answer, work and leadership background, as well as GPA, test scores and letters of recommendation. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship full tuition at an accredited and approved 4-year college Minority high school senior who is a U.S. citizen planning to attend an accredited and approved 4-year institution in the United States, show leadership potential, demonstrate a dedication to community service, present evidence of financial need, 21 or high ACT composite; CLICK here for more info and to access online application February 1, 2020
University of Nebraska Lincoln Freshman Scholarships(100s awarded) up to $15,000/yr Qualifications vary, but academic excellence, extracurricular achievements, and leadership are considered. CLICK here for info and application vary but earliest is February 1, 2020
ISRPA Scholarships $1,000 (total of 2 awarded) Senior who is U.S. citizen who demonstrates good moral character, has 3.0 or above GPA, is accepted to an accredited college or trade school, and have participated on a Rifle-Pistol-Air Rifle team or club with plans to continue competing. Iowa Newspaper Foundation Scholarships $500-$1,000 (8 types) Senior enrolling in a college major preparing for a career in media; participation in yearbook or newspaper at LCHS. CLICK here for descriptions and application. February 14, 2020
Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarship $1,000 Senior employed with Hy-Vee who began employment by 9/15/2019 or who is a child of a Hy-Vee employee who has worked for Hy-Vee for at least 6 months; CLICK here for more info and to access the application postmarked no later than February 20, 2020
Iowa Financial Aid Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship $2,000 Complete two online tutorials about lowering overall college costs and maximizing your return on college investment. Take the assessment at the end. The 30 seniors with the highest scores on the assessment will be awarded $2,000 to be sent directly to their college. The Jewish Federation of America vary; up to $10,000 Must be a Jewish student living in the Omaha metropolitan area.
