During the week of April 16 - 22, Lewis Central High School hosted the "Remembering Our Fallen" exhibit in the high school library. This touring photo exhibit, sponsored by Bellevue University, honors Iowa military who have died from wounds suffered in a war zone since September 11, 2001.
Throughout the week, many classes as well as members of the public viewed this impressive and solemn tribute to those who gave their lives to protect our freedom.
Bellevue University believes in the exhibit's primary purpose, which is to remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in The War on Terror. The University is sponsoring the national campaign which launched in Adel, Iowa, on May 1, 2011, with Iowa's Fallen. Each state will have their own Fallen on its exhibit, and will be available for traveling weekly throughout the hometowns of The Fallen, as well as other communities, businesses, schools or organizations.
