PEO Star Scholarship $2,500 Senior female who displays leadership and has been involved in community service and extra curricular activities; 3.0 or better GPA; must write a letter of application describing how you meet the criteria application letters addressed to "Dear Scholarship Committee" due to Mrs. Bode-Steinke by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26
Ron Brown Scholar Program $10,000/yr renewable Black/African American senior who excels academically, shows leadership, and has multiple community service activities; must demonstrate financial need, be a U.S. citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card; CLICK here for more info and to download the application form Must be postmarked by November 1, 2019
Cooke College Scholarship up to $40,000/yr High-achieving senior with financial need who attends a highly ranked 4-year college or university; demonstrated perseverance in the face of challenges; demonstrated leadership; and proven service to others; must apply through the Common App; click here to begin application process November 13, 2019
Iowa State University Freshman Scholarships (100s awarded) up to full tuition Must apply to and be admitted by December 1, 2019, for top scholarships; other factors vary, but can include GPA, test scores, leadership, and community service; CLICK her for more info and to apply for admission December 1, 2019
University of Northern Iowa Freshman Scholarships (100s awarded) up to $4,000/yr Qualifications vary, but academic excellence, extracurricular achievements, and leadership are considered. CLICK here for info and application admitted to UNI and scholarship app completed by January 15, 2020
Iowa Environmental Health Scholarship $500 renewable Must enroll as a full-time student at an Iowa college and major in an Environmental Health related field. CLICK here for more information and to access the applicaiton February 1, 2020
National Guard Officers Auxiliary Scholarships $1,000 (total of 3 awarded) Must be a dependent of an Iowa National Guard Member (current or retired) who is pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree; you will be judged on an essay answer, work and leadership background, as well as GPA, test scores and letters of recommendation. University of Nebraka Lincoln Freshman Scholarships(100s awarded) up to $15,000/yr Qualifications vary, but academic excellence, extracurricular achievements, and leadership are considered. CLICK here for info and application vary but earliest is February 1, 2020
Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarship $1,000 Senior employed with Hy-Vee who began employment by 9/15/2019 or who is a child of a Hy-Vee employee who has worked for Hy-Vee for at least 6 months; CLICK here for more info and to access the application postmarked no later than February 20, 2020
The University of Iowa Freshman Scholarships (100s awarded) up to $8,500/yr Qualifications vary, but test scores and GPA are considered; some require a minimum ACT; CLICK here for info and the application March 1, 2020
University of Nebraska Omaha Freshman Scholarships (100s awarded) up to full tuition Must apply to and be admitted by March 1, 2020; qualifications vary, but financial need, GPA, test scores, leadership, and community service can be factors; CLICK here for more info March 1, 2020
Council Bluffs Evening Musicale Scholarship $500 Senior enrolling in an accredited 2- or 4-year college who has an established record of musical participation, achievement, and skill; 3.0 or better GPA; pick up a paper application packet from the file folder across from Mrs. Bode-Steinke's office door postmarked no later than March 1, 2020
Iowa Western Community College Freshman Scholarships (one form for over 400 awarded) up to full tuition/$5,000/yr Qualifications vary, but academic excellence, extracurricular achievements, and leadership are considered. CLICK here for info and application April 22, 2020
