Lewis Central High School welcomes seven new staff members for the 2011-12 school year.

Mark Fritch is the new associate principal. Mr. Fritch has been involved  in education for 17 years.  He worked at TriCenter, Neola for six years, Grand Island for three years and Papillion LaVista for eight years.  He holds a B.S. degree from Peru State in education with a science endorsement and a M.A. from University of Nebraska Kearney in educational administration as well as a specialist degree in superintendency.

Dana Dose will be teaching math classes.  Ms. Dose previously taught nine years  at Bellevue West in Nebraska and  two years at Alleman High School in Rock Island, Illinois.  Before entering the education field she spent five years as a computer aided drafter.  She holds degrees in architectural engineering technology, secondary math education and educational administration. 

Jill Bryson is the alternative education teacher.  She has nine years of experience in education as a middle and high school science teacher.  Before entering the field of education she was a athletic trainer for a clinic and a high school in Georgia.  She has a B.A. from Coe College in psychobiology and athletic training, an M.S. in sports medicine from Georgia State University and an M.A. from University of Iowa in Education Policy and Leadership Studies.

Molly Wuestewald comes to Lewis Central from Columbus, Nebraska where she taught high school Spanish.  She will be teaching Spanish at Lewis Central as well. Ms. Wuestewald attended the University of South Dakota where she received a degree in Spanish education.

Katie Allard will be teaching Spanish.  Ms. Allard taught Spanish for four years at Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs and taught one year in Mexico.  She also has taught at Western Iowa Technical College in Sioux City, Iowa.  She received her Bachelor's degree from Morningside College and her M.A. from University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Tom Hutchinson, a Lewis Central graduate, will teach math.  Mr. Hutchinson taught one year of math at Charter Oak - Ute Schools before coming to Lewis Central.  In addition to teaching math, he will coach assistant boys basketball and assistant baseball.  Mr. Hutchinson has a B.S. degree from Northwest Missouri State in math education with a minor in coaching.

Lorraine Duitsman is the Secondary TAG Coordinator.  Her previous experience includes five years of teaching in Iowa high schools and two years at community colleges.  Ms. Duitsman has a B.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in English Literature, M.A. degree from UNI in English and a gifted endorsement from the University of Iowa.
