Dear Parent and Student,


There are several items that should be addressed to ensure a successful start of the school year.  To help with this process we have put together a short little checklist to help you with the process.  


Here are some items that you should consider when preparing for a successful start of the school year:

  • Complete online registration process.

  • Pay all fees.

  • Know needed transportation information, including any changes for busing and allowing additional time for construction areas if you drive to school.

  • Know needed lunch information, including depositing money in account if eating school lunch.

  • Review class schedule. Remember the last day to drop a class is Monday, August 28, 2017.

  • Complete Chromebook information.  This would include the Acceptable Usage Policy and Chromebook Expectations, consideration of Computer Damage and Protection Plan, etc.

  • Review Student Handbook.  Expectations are in effect first day of school.

  • Review Dress Code Expectations.  Expectations are in effect first day of school.

  • Know bell schedule for first day and second day of school.

  • If applicable, review the Freshman and New Student Orientation Information.

  • Plan for your school pictures on September 7, 2017.

  • If taking the ACT this year, know the date of your examination and make plans to sign up for the John Baylor Test Preparation Tutorials through the school.

  • Have general school supplies that may include:  (Teachers will let you know if additional items for particular classes are needed.)

    • pens/pencils

    • notebooks

    • folders

    • calculator

    • backpack

  • Thoroughly review each of the syllabus for your courses.

  • Periodically check webpage for new information and calendar of events.
