Important FAFSA Announcement!

Financial Aid Changes
Posted on 10/06/2016

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) became active on October 1, 2016.  Therefore, some colleges have moved their financial aid priority dates to a much earlier date.  The financial aid priority date is a date set by a college in which the college requests that the FAFSA be completed.  This is a date that is not so much a deadline, but is a date that will put the student in the best position for financial aid.  Some of the earliest dates locally are:

a Iowa State University – December 1, 2016

a University of Iowa – December 1, 2016

a Faith Baptist Bible College – December 15, 2016

a University of Northern Iowa – January 15, 2016

a Creighton University – January 15, 2016

For all the Iowa college financial aid priority dates go to:

For any out-of-state colleges, please visit their college website or call the college financial aid website.

*Remember that our Financial Aid - FAFSA Presentation is at 6:30 p.m. in our Multipurpose Room on Monday, October 10.
