Deb Deb Blodgett

Caring for people is what matters to Deb the most.  You only need to watch her interact with a student or staff member with a health concern to see how passionate she is about helping them.  Her helping is not limited to only when someone is not feeling well physically.  Starting the Lewis Central ReBel chapter she demonstrates that her passion to help others goes beyond only physical ailments, but making sure that those she works with feel good about themselves.

When you think of H and H may think cars but Deb is all about H and H -  HEALTH and HAPPINESS.

Hanafan Chris Hanafan

It is with great honor to nominate Chris Hanafan as Lewis Central’s teacher of the month. When I think of Chris and the many reasons why he should receive this award the first thing that comes to my mind is how is a true representation of Lewis Central. He lives by the manta of “Bleed Blue” by being present at virtually every activity that is hosted and never hesitating to speak with passion what he feels needs to be improved or changed to enhance the culture here at Lewis Central.

Chris also has uncanny ability to build relationships with virtually every student that walks into his classroom and is able to get the most out of some of his most difficult students that otherwise may hesitate to participate in his class.

Being able to work alongside him the past several years, it is no surprise as to why many former students will return to Lewis Central after graduation to meet with Chris and share where they are and what they have been doing since they left school. In today’s world where test scores and academic success are so critical,it is the lifelong relationships that are built in his class that former and future students will hold close to them for the rest of their lives!
