Dear AP Student and AP Family,


Your child is enrolled in one or more Advanced Placement (AP) courses at Lewis Central High School.  Students enrolled in AP classes are strongly encouraged to register for AP exams, which afford students with the ability to earn college credit and / or advanced placement in higher level courses in college.  


Students register for AP exams through their myap.collegeboard.org online account and indicate interest with their AP teacher.  AP exam fees are then added to students efunds Powerschool Account. Families can pay online as they do with any activity or student fee or send money or a check made out to Lewis Central High School to the high school’s main office.  


Please note the deadlines and fees below:

Cost per AP exam: $85

Cost per AP exam if student qualifies for Free or Reduced Lunch: $53


AP Student Commitment to Exam: (Through the student’s myap.collegeboard.org)

Deadline of Nov. 8th 


AP Exam Fees:

Due No later than Nov. 14th

*Families and students may choose to pay in increments if they wish.

Those that choose this option would pay the minimum exam fee of $40 if regular cost / $25 if Free or Reduced Lunch in Nov. and the remaining fee in May before the AP exam.  

*This minimum exam fee is due at the time of ordering if a student wishes to test.

Late Fees: 

Students who order and pay for AP exams after the Nov. 14th deadline incur a $40 late fee.  

Unused exam / Cancelled exams: 

There is a $40 unused/cancelled exam fee that applies if students decide to not test after exams have been ordered. (This means the initial payment will not be refunded if a family paid in increments, OR If the family paid in full, the remaining amount minus the $40 will be refunded.) *Note, this fee charge does not apply to Free and Reduced Lunch Students.    


Trimester 2 AP Course Enrollments:

For students enrolled in AP Courses that begin 2nd Trimester, the ordering myap.collegeboard.org online commitment date is Jan. 31st and the first payment deadline is March 12th.
