FAFSA Completion Night Info (for LCHS seniors only)

If seniors are college bound after they graduate, the FAFSA is calling their names! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a vital piece of documentation that can lead to grants, scholarships, work study opportunities and more. This is an important first step towards funding a graduate's college costs.  Last year, millions of federal dollars went unused because students did not complete the FAFSA.

LCHS Counselors and outside experts certified in FAFSA Assistance will be offering their services free of charge to LCHS seniors and/or their parents on Monday, October 11, in the High School Media Center. Walk-ins with no appointment necessary are welcome from 4:00-7:30. Computers will even be provided, but families are also able to bring their own.

Seniors and parents who come to the FAFSA Completion Night will need the following information:

-Social Security numbers (or alien registration numbers if non-U.S. citizens)

-Driver's license numbers, dates of birth, and date of parents’ marriage (and divorce, if applicable)

-2020 federal tax forms, including W-2s

-Current bank account and investment statements (or approximate dollar amounts in those accounts)

-If applicable, records of untaxed income received in 2020

-If applicable, last year's small business or farm ownership records

-If applicable, total amount of child support paid or received

College is expensive, but not impossible. Let our FAFSA experts get you started!
