SENIORS:  If you are college bound after you graduate, the FAFSA is calling your name! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), is a vital piece of documentation that can lead to grants, scholarships, work study opportunities and more. Don’t miss this important first step towards funding your future.  Last year, millions of federal dollars went unused because students did not complete the FAFSA.

LCHS Counselors and staff certified in FAFSA Assistance will be offering their services free of charge to seniors and/or their parents on Wednesday, January 29, in the High School Counseling Center. Open hours will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and no appointment is necessary. Computers will even be provided for your convenience, but you are also able to bring your own. Don’t delay; put this event on your calendar today!

Make sure you come prepared; you will need:

-Social Security numbers (or alien registration numbers if non-U.S. citizens)

-Driver's license numbers, dates of birth, and date of parents’ marriage (and divorce, if applicable)

-2018 federal tax forms, including W-2s

-Current bank account and investment statements (or approximate dollar amounts in those accounts)

-If applicable, records of untaxed income received in 2018

-If applicable, last year's small business or farm ownership records

-If applicable, total amount of child support paid or received
